I am so glad that I got to see him a few months ago. My parents told me yesterday that when they lived in Augusta, Ga. before I was born every christmas they would take my older sister to James Brown's house because he went so overboard with the lights and everything. Definitely sad to see a legend pass.

I'm glad I got to see him on his last trip to Calgary. At 70+ years old he was still a great entertainer.

I got a poster from that tour at Heritage Music - James Brown, Funkin' Canada.

I was very surprised to hear this on the news the other day because for some reason I thought he died a few years ago. RIP.
