Default Where to purchase hockey equipment?

Where is the best place to buy hockey equipment? Road hockey equipment? I drew my brother's name this year and apparently he wants a helmet or road hockey equipment. I went to WalMart and they only had kids stuff. Where can I get a good deal right now?

canadian tire's your best bet imo, i play loads of street hockey and buy everything there, i almost have saved enough canadian tire money to purchase a new stick, which is kinda ridiculous since you get abou t10 cents every time you buy a stick

yeah, I'd second Canadian Tire for road hockey equipment. They even have good deals on helmets for ice hockey over there. Then there is play it again sports...but I've never gotten anything from there, so I have no idea. Sportchek is a little overpriced for those things though, but Canadian Tire would probably be the best destination. Check out National Sports too...their prices aren't that bad, and their doorcrasher sales sometimes have those for a good price.

Despite it's name, there are no "National Sports" west of Ontario.

Well I went with the helmet which was more in my price range... it was only the second coolest one there, but I hope its sufficiently cool for my brother. The road hockey equipment I wanted was too far out of my price range, besides which I don't know which way he'd play goal... I think I'm normal but to most people I'm backwards. So I didn't want to use myself as a judge! I think the helmet is more practical as he referee's in his free time. Thank you all for your help! Now I know! I think I'll go to Canadian Tire and buy myself skates for Boxing Day now that I know they're cheap!
