Default Jets announce press conference
Reports out of Winnipeg indicate GM Walsh has called a news conference sometime tonight. The press conference will be sometime after the gm's weekly curling match.

The Winnipeg Jets have acquired center Mike Ribeiro from the Buffalo Sabres.



Going to Buffalo is young forward Matt Stajan and prospect Sean Bergenheim.

We needed to upgrade our offence, and Ribeiro gives us more scoring then Matt Stajan. Sean Bergenheim is still a decent prospect but I wonder if he will ever develop into a solid cphler. We also picked up Jari Tolsa in the deal but only to balance things out. We have no use for him and he is available.

Sabres are going in a new direction, we just aren't sure what it is. we prefer Stajan to Ribeiro anyways going forward, we believe him to be a better player, although Ribeiro has good offensive sim rankings. Bergenheim is a wild card, but by most accounts is having a good season in Europe and remains in the NHL Isles plans. who knows
