Default Airport Security Today (Dec 14) ...

I heard on the radio it's taking 2.5 to 3 hours to get thru security. The people working the terminals are doing some sort of work to rule, but as for the cause of this, I have no idea.

I dunno if it's still going on, but if you're leaving Calgary, get there early!

a news reported 3 hours usually translates into about a 20 minute lineup, compared to the usual 5 minutes when you are apparently waiting in line for an hour. But hey, the news is always right.

Default Hmm...

We're flying out to Las Vegas tomorrow evening. My dad came into the office this morning with this news, but I can't find any information online about it. Who knows???

Looks like it's more of a passenger thing than a security thing

This is what happens when $10 an hour Garda guards are being contracted by CATSA. I don't know why people are surprised just now, it's been like this for awhile now and the best way to beat this is get to the airport 3 hours before your flight and burn your time at the bar after you get thru those lines. Works like a charm for me

Well, not sure if this is the reason why, but one of the main orchestraters of the 1993 Trade Centre bombing has fallen gravely ill in captivity. People think this might spark al Qaeda to launch an attack in response.

Just got home, went thru the security at Calgary airport the morning of Wednesday, Dec 13, it was awful!!!!!!!!!!! stretched a couple of blocks long.

We would have never made our flight except for the fact that as flights were almost ready to depart, security came out and asked for people on those flights to follow them.

We thought we had more than an hour to spare, had given plenty of time, and this was just a domestic flight to Regina!!!

I would suggest adding on an hour to hour and a half for the extra wait in going thru security, longer if international.
