Autobody shops

Okay, so after reading some suggestions from my other thread, I am definately leaning towards paying for my car repairs out of my own pocket

A-1 Autobody gave me an estimate of around $2800

Does anyone know of any autobody shops out there that are trust-worthy, reliable, and offers it at a fair price?

Any suggestions to which Autobody shops you recommend would be beneficial. I currently live in the NE (the hood) but will be moving into the Coventry area in a couple weeks so a shop in this area would be preferable. I would be willing to drive far though if that is what it takes to get the best value

Or if anyone have any connections to give me a CP discount , that would be greatly appreciated as well.

I am so broke right now so any amount of money I can save would help me out immensely

I used to work in the Insurance industry in Calgary and cant say which place would be the cheapest, but for the most reliable shop that stands behind their work for the life of the vehicle you cant beat A-1.

Also if you are over 25 you get a free courtesy car which is very nice, and even if your under 25 you can still get one, you just have to pay I think $4 per day.

If you don't mind not having a courtesy car Woodridge does pretty good work, they fixed my bumper for $200 less than what A-1 quoted me when I got hit-and-run at a parking lot during Stampede. Did it in one day too so I didnt even need a rental. These guys own the Woodridge Ford Lincoln & Crowfoot Honda so they're pretty familiar with Hondas and probably Acuras.

I had a good experience with Hallmark Autobody in Inglewood...took a little while to get in (during the summer), but when it did, my car was ready within a few days.

I know people who have had good experience with Horton Auto Body. Probably not the cheapest, but excellent quality.

My family has gotten work done at Atlantic Autobody(NE). If it's through insurance, I go to Concours(off Blackfoot and 42nd AVE SE).

I just had a great experience with Concours in the NW in Crowfoot.
