Default 4-year-old is accused of inappropriate sexual behavior.

You have to be kidding me.

The Nov. 13 letter from La Vega Independent School District stated his son, who was 4 years old at the time, was involved in "inappropriate physical behavior interpreted as sexual contact and/or sexual harassment" after the boy hugged a teacher's aide and "rubbed his face in the chest of (the) female employee" on Nov. 10.
Even if someone can extrapolate that is "indecent" behaviour by a 4 year old child, can anyone actually believe that the child would understand why it was determined that?

So absurd it's kind of funny.

Completely ridiculous.

I'm sure any number of mental health and/or child development experts would be happy to testify to the normalcy of his behavior.

Or dermatologists, for that matter.

The chance that Junior may have had a itchy face is a lot better than the chance he tried to emulate that letter he read in Penthouse Forum a couple years back.

i dont think he'd actually get charged for the crime...he wouldnt pass the DA's "tests" that they have to give children under 8 years of age in court to make sure that the children know the difference between right and wrong. might be accused, but the charges (if any end up being brought) will get dropped. My husband's new assignment at the DA's office for Santa Clara County is to work in juvenile deliquency and a lot of the charged are under 8 years old, and 99% of these charges get dropped because of how ridiculous they are.....

The letter also stated Blackwell's son, who Blackwell requested not be named in this story for privacy reasons, spent the day in in-school suspension (ISS) as punishment for the incident.

This is beyond incredible. Four years old? C'mon.

There is other ways to settle things besides lawsuits. The US doesn't need more of them.

This is one time a lawsuit is more than appropriate.

Just because there are frivilous lawsuits existing, doesn't mean that legitimate suits should be curtailed.

There are so many grounds on which a good civil lawsuit could be made.

Could the district be charged on criminal grounds? This almost seems to constitute a psychological assault on a child.

Putting out six bananas on the table, he asks, "What do you see? You say you see six bananas, but I say no, it's half a dozen. That's the same thing with this. Call it what you want, it's the same thing."

Now I'm not in any position to nominate anyone for "Best Paragraph Ever", but if I were...

The teacher's aide should be fired. Anyone who sees something sexual in something like this has issues, and shouldn't be working around children.
