Security at the Dome.
I noticed that the security at the Dome was not taking anything lightly last night at the game. I sit in section 310 which is in the third deck corner behind the visitors bench, above the Saddle Room restaurant. You allways get all kinds of drunkiness up in the Ultimate Fan Zone. From my seat I can see the exit to the NE tower. In the third perid there was a pretty good stream of people getting kicked out those doors with the police in pursuit.
I'm not sure if there is a recent crackdown or something. But I havn't seen the cops up there that much in the past. In one incident I think there were 6 to 8 policeman kicking out a group of fans late in the 3rd.
Also late in the game the couple that was painted Red in (I'm estimating) section 212 or 211, got kicked out as well. The guy did take his shirt off and down a beer when he was put on the score board, and his woman friend pulled up her jersey to expose her camoflauge bra. Secirity came right over and asked them to leave ( I coudn't hear from my section but the big heave ho sign that security gave them made it obvious). When the couple didn't leave, the cops came out and took them away.
I don't mind fans being rowdy. But fans that have had too much to drink and can hardly walk, that are being loud and obnoxious should get the boot. I have been kicked out of many bars in the past. And some of the stuff that security was letting fans get away with up the 300's was mind boggling.

I guess the girl thought if she was going to have to leave, she might as well get her money's worth. She flashed her bikini bra a few more times before being taken away.
Can't Flames girls go wild anymore? There was no nudity.
The Flames are complicit in this IMO. The camermen always pick out attractive and scantily clad women.

The ultimate fan zone is definately not a place for kids or familys. Maybe the Dome had enough complaints that they finally decided to crack down.
During the Chicago game I went to the concession to get beer. And a guy comes up behind me drunk as a skunk (it was the first period). He is jabbing me in the back and telling me to budge in line and babbling incoherently. I felt like punching him in the face. When it resorts to that, the Dome definately needs to do something. Because even though booze is being served. It isn't a night club.

Agreed the worst is Friday nights game, I was at the Colorado game last Friday and half the people up in the Fan Zone where treating the dome like it was a pre drinking destination rather than a place to watch hockey

Well when you have a friend who bets you you can't drink 5 beers in one period what are you supposed to do?

That game was on Tuesday. How much did you have to drink? Yeah I hear you. It wasn't long ago that I was partying 3 nights a week. I have been kicked out of most bars in Southern Alberta, spent the night in the drunk tank, things like that in the past. And even I think that what some people get away with is ridiculous. If you stagger around in a bar and bump into people and drop your drink in front of a bouncer. Chances are your going to get tossed. At the Dome they just call for a mop.

Wow. Weak sauce. On both parts. Did you try asking the person to put it out before throwing beer at him?

They need to take those damn horns away from stupid people too. I don't mind if you blow on the horn after a goal/big hit/big save/fight but when you do it after an icing call or an offside, you're a ######.

Every time I see security before a game, they're always joking about how many people they are going to kick out tonight, and if they can break the record.
They're doing it for kicks, and use any excuse to do it.
Its ****ing gay.

They probably had contraband alcohol...Maybe the police were chasing them because they were underage?

6 times out of 10 they kick people out for sneaking in outside alcohol, the other 4 times it is because they are drunk and causing problems.
I don't think its a security guard conspiracy, trust me they want to do as little as possible.

A couple weeks ago I was in the Sportcheck section and observed the security guards kicking out 3 different groups of people. All because they smuggled alcohol in. Seriously, we can't have people bringing in enough booze to get them out of control drunk and risk the safety of everyone else.
I thanked the guy for his hard work.

I heard a lot oh booing and cheering going during game-play on the TV (and not because there was anything exciting going on during play) is that what it was for?

some guy poured beer all over himself on the jumbotron, then took off his shirt.. then (what i assume was) his girlfriend, lifted up her shirt showing a bikini.
About 2 minutes later, the cops escorted them out, but not before she showed us her bikini again...

Yeah, the crowd was booing because the security came to take the couple away. I was trying to figure out what penalty was called, when I realized it was the bra-laden woman being escorted out. So she decided to flash a bit more, causing the cheers.

Yes, I'm sure they just kick people out for fun.
Seriously, the ammount of outside booze, swearing, beer throwing, and scrapping that goes on at some games, should be more than enough for the security guards to get their kicks without kicking out good holesome people just for fun.
Do they have fun kicking stupid drunk jerks out of a game? I'm sure they do, but that's a far cry from just doing it for kicks.
