Default Canadian has climbed highest peak on each continent since May 24

Wow this truly is an amazing feat. Many of us dream of visiting each continent; this guy has taken it a step further, and in record time.

Daniel Griffith, 55, a native of St. Thomas, Ont., who now lives in Invermere, B.C., climbed the highest peaks on each of the seven continents in just 187 days - an achievement that he says puts him in the book of Guinness World Records.

Speaking of climbing, has anyone been watching that Everest series on Discovery? Now that's a good "reality" show. It really takes a lot of guts and effort to make it...as witnessed by several deaths on the show already. There's even one guy who's both legs were amputated, and he's making the trek. What a total animal!

I was watching a show, don't know if it was the same one, but i assume it was, and it was damn interesting. Showed just how hard it was, for a long time marathon runner to struggle so bad up near the top with no oxygen etc..

great show.

Yeah. Sopranos style…

Awesome.
Maybe that should be in the "Want you have always wanted to do" thread...or perhaps a thread on a totally different site.

This is what happens when you leave your computer unattended while it is logged in to CP and a co-worker finds it.
