Default I finally agreed with something Jack Layton said

http://www.canada.com/topics/news/od...7f2bee&k=67984

I am in full agreement with him that this government needs to cancel subsidies to big ass.

I saw that piece on the supper newscast. It was a hoot watching Taliban Jack stumble for the right words. One of the reare moments when everyone in the house of commons is laughing at the same thing.

Dion i have to quit biting my tongue and comment on the irony of your sig saying Mike Vernon #30 while showing Mike in his #29 jersey. i don't know why but it's been bugging me for awhile

The picture in my sig is from his second go around with the Flames. I had trouble finding good qualty pics of him during his first stay but stumbled on a few from his second stay that were posted in the Calgary Flames website. He originaly wore #30 and I decided to go with his original number.

yea i figured that's why you did it, but it still doesn't sit right with me for some reason. it's like an Avs fan making a joe sakic sig but showing him in a nordiques jersey

That thought did cross my mind and I did originaly have one with the number 29. Then I thought that isn't the number that will be retired to the rafters of the Dome. That and you have to look real close to see the 29 on his jersey.

I'd have to agree, you should get some vintage Mike Vernon in there.

Not that this is off topic or anything.

I guess you know you're in a Non-NDP region when a thread about them turns into this.

Thread officially HI-JACKED

Dion, you should definately get a pic of Vernon in his first stint for your sig for two reasons

1. His number is getting retired due to his first stint with the Flames. His second stint was very forgettable

2. He wears #30 in his first stint

That sig has been bothering me for awhile too, but I didn't say anything cause I thought I was the only one

You guys got me thinking about doing another one with the vintage Vernon. What you guys have said makes sense. Thanks for the idea

Off to work I go

i honestly never meant to hijack the thead, i didn't say anything before because i didn't want to do just that. but i figure in a trivial thread (sorry Snakeeye ) i could finally get it out

at least he didn't make a Lanny McDonald signature with him wearing a maple leaf

I just saw the clip on CTV news. It was pretty good, but the best part was once the news camera was back on Lloyd Robertson. His response to the story was 'in some circles, we would guess that's called low comedy'. He then awkwardly looked down for a few seconds and the camera switched before he went on to the next news story.

worst joke Dilevery....ever.

Stephan Harper's reply was pretty funny too...

"Mr. Speaker, I promise the house I'll get to the bottom of this."

Ahh Layton, political gamesmanship in an attempt to upstage Dion which kind of back fired.

Untill SD gets his English up to par you will continue to see this stuff.
