Default Darrell Scott: For you country fans

I've been listening to XM radio (X Country) since I got it in the summer, and have heard some really really good fairly unknown (to me at least) bands.

One of them I heard a few tracks of is a fellow by the name of Darrell Scott, and have since downloaded his albums off iTunes.

I think the album "the invisible man" is one of the best albums I own, and can't put it down. Absolutely fantastic. Its the furthest thing from hoaky country, and has the rock element to it, strung into the category of "progressive country"

Anyway, if you have itunes, you can listen to some tracks (only samples i think) but if your into this kind of music, you'll absolutely love it.I had to listen to the album about 2-3 times before it really set in as I didn't really like it to begin with, but now I think it is the best album i have.

Anyway, his other albums available online are:

Live in NC with Kenny Malone and danny thompson -- This is an acoustic blues type album that i don't really like, and somewhat regret buying, but I might just have to give it a few more listens.

Real Time with Tim O'Brien is just 2 of them and has some really good tracks (with a memory like mine, little sadie, long time gone etc).

Check it out, and look for his album version of You'll never leave harlan alive. Fantastic track.

I just heard a fantastic country album yesterday and it's sung by, surprisingly, by a 60s soul man, Solomon Burke.

Check out Solomon Burke - Nashville

It's just great.
