Default Network: Mac to PC

Hi guys,

I can always count on CP to help me with crap like this

When I want to move a file from my PC to my Mac, I just move my files into a folder, right click, enable sharing... go to network on my MAC, pull up my PC.. and boom. I have the files...

But when I want to move files from mac to PC (pictures) i have not figured out how to do it...

I tried the system preferences, enable windows/file sharing etc... and typed in the 199.212.21.2 address or whatever it was, but said the computer was unavailable or something...

Anyone know how to do this?

cheers,

James.

1) Move all files to Mac
2) Throw PC out Window

Did you enable your user account on the Mac? You should just have to set Windows file sharing and go to "\\192.168.1.101\AccountName" in Windows.

XP?

Probably had the firewall on. Enabling Simple filesharing opens up the appropriate ports.

Beautiful ... I love it. I just bought a Panasonic Mini DV camera. The instructions on how to transfer video to a PC took up 10-1/2 pages in the manual. The Mac instructions took a half page. I love my Mac!
