Buying tickets policy

This forum will be strictly moderated. If you post something against the rules your post will be removed, and all access to this forum will also be removed.

There is a minimum post count of 100 posts required to post in this forum. This is to prevent scalpers from coming in and registering just to sell their tickets. We understand this impacts honest sellers as well, however we've had enough problems in the past that this measure had to be taken.

I understand completely the reason for this policy with regards to sellers. However, I would like to BUY some tickets

Because of the policy I can't post my request since I don't have 100 posts in this forum.
Have you ever considered splitting the buy/sell ticket forum into two separate sections?... (1) For Sale ... (2)Want to Buy?... and keeping the current policy for the FS section to keep out the scalpers?

Very simple. If we allow WTB posts from new posters, then we also run into the same problem of scalpers contacting said members.

Last spring we had all sorts of issues with scalping; both from people posting and people responding to WTB posts. It got to the point that we had to remove ticket sales all together. This current situation was put on as a trial; and it has worked out pretty well so far.

It may not help out some members; but it does work for most members.
