What is up with the bird sounds at Chinook station?
For about a week and a half now, whenever I am waiting for a train at Chinook LRT, they have been playing bird sounds over the PA every five minutes or so. Anyone know why?
What birds are they? I know in some places, aggressive sounds of larger, territorial birds are used to disuade sparrows and such from nesting in a particular area.
It's refered to as a bird squawker. It is playing sounds of raptors and owls to scare away pigeons. It won't work. I have installed a couple of these units in the past couple of months and they're useless. Very expensive too.
