Default Grey Cup Game Thread - Als vs. Lions

Not sure if I'll even watch this entire game.

The Pre game ceremony was worth a laugh. Amateur, shakey camera work covered the festivites which included an overdone set of player intros (in english AND french), then some nobody sang the Canadian anthem, but not before the PA plugged her album and referred to her as a 'recording artist'. To boot, the snowbirds flew over the stadium about 45 seconds late. It was nothing short of hilarious watching them creep towards the stadium. Most awkward moment in sporting history.

God bless the Amateur errr Canadian football league.

at least it's in HD .

I kinda like that floating, over-head camera. Gives some interesting looks at the formations. Although the guy operating it seems to need to learn how to move it properly.

16-0 Lions in the 2nd quarter. Montreal's offense is horrrrrrrrible.

Im not sure which has been worse...this half time show or the game. Hopefully Montreal can come back in the 2nd and at least make it interesting.

Nelly Furtado looks hot.

But i realized something watching this, in all the technological advancements we've made in sound, Stadium concerts still sound F********* horrible.

Not going to crap on the CFL..you get as well known as possible Canadian musical talent, if you can, for Canada's football championship game.

What would be the target market for CFL fans? The Hip's been done, the Guess Who, Adams etc etc etc. Last year was the Black Eyed Peas...were they that much better?

And are the majority of NFL fans Justin Timberlake fans?

Yeah I suppose they at least got a Canadian this year. Black Eyed Peas was even worse last year. You'd think there would be some Canadian rock bands that would be a better fit with football fans then Furtado.

Football fans will watch the game regardless of who is performing at half time... the reason for acts like Furtado is to get those people who aren't football fans watching a bit, to hopefully turn them into football fans.

I like nelly furtado, I watched the halftime show because it was her, but really I think they should have just dubbed the set like they do in the states.

Rock acts can get away with sounding bad in a stadium because they have instruments, pop artists on the other hand, cannot....stadiums are just terrible venues for concerts plain and simple.

Buono had to challenge it and he didnt... probably figures it won't mean anything in the scheme of things.

That should be game right there. Nice job by the BC defense. Looks like the Als will fall to 1-4 in the Grey Cup Game. Bad job by not challenging there as well.

That Al's fumble was the CFL in a nutshell. Play of the year, and they can't holdon to the ball.

Very disappointing finish to the CFL season. Even when the Als were putting some good drives together it never felt like they were going to make the comeback and upset the Lions. Congrats to Wally.

Dave Dickenson wins ANOTHER championship.

I remember when he beat the Chad Pennington/Randy Moss led Marshall Thundering Herd for the 1-AA National Championship. Good times.
