In the words of Ricky from the Trailer Park Boys, "It doesn't take a rocket appliance" to figure out there are problems in Pittsburgh. The team is not off to the start that GM Goffie was looking for and already went through a huge volume of trades and player turnover this season. Those trades were expected to fix the team after a 4win run, however since then the Pens are 1-3.
The Penguins had a closed door meeting after the game and it was decided that the parts are there to make a successful team. Each player stood up and promised to deliver a more consistent effort night in and night out. Management and Coaching staff have decided to give this team a 5 game span to either show results or there will be major changes. The Pens will play the Habs, Sens, a two game set with the Nords, and the Isles. If the team does not show a vast improvement in this span it will be re-evaluated and no player will be safe.
GM Goffie will be away on a scouting trip this weekend(leaving tommorow morning) and will have some internet use, but how much is not known. I will be able to answer any emails or trade inquires at sometime before I return Monday evening or shortly after I return. Becky will be handling my lines for the game against the Habs on Sunday.
