Samuelsson FINALY traded to the Wild for Chris Clark and Braydon Coburn. Just the type of deal the Panthers were looking for. With the season Chris Clark is currently having, there is a chance he'll be a 75ish player eventually. Coburn is a guy Penney has been after for month and month but it is rumored that he was flipped right away for help up front...

Well I look at it like this. I downgrade and get back a 72OV guy who I can probably use. Not sure i can use Coburn right now. He still has a ton of potential however BUT I swapped him already becuase I lack F depth. I had to claim Craig McDonald for frig sakes....desperate!

OH, I forgot to mention that I shipped out Aucoin for Zidlicky too...lots of new Panthers!

Well here's the Wild perspective on it.

We've got a lot of talent on our top 2 lines, but after that there is a pretty big drop off, so no one to fill in scoring wise in the event of injury. So Samuelsson gives us that important depth. Couple that with a sweet contract for the next 2 years that will help us in the cap department.

I wanted to hang on to Clark as he is putting up points playing with AO. Coburn is a guy I've liked for a long time, but he isn't progressing as many thought he would - I think he'll still end up a solid NHL player, but I'm kinda tired of waiting for him.
