Most overused adjectives
I'm not sure when everything started becoming 'amazing', but it seems that there is so much 'amazing' stuff out there that it is more likely you will experience something amazing than something that isn't.
Any others that get on your nerves?

One of the managers at my work *always* tags the word "literally" onto everything he says. And it's always emphasized and completely misplaced. "Okay so you're LITERALLY gonna have to go back and update these drawings". WHY IS THAT LITERAL??

Reason: I had to emphasize that it's ALWAYS lol

"glorious."
Single-handedly dumbed down the English language, especially when dumb bimbos use it.

Oh man, if you talked to me in person, you might strangle me. I completely overuse the word awesome. I'm trying to break the habit, but damn it's hard.

I doubt I would kill you, if I can tolerate my co-workers using it all the time.
What really bugs me is when I find myself saying it. I feel like I should punish myself or something. I have to silently berate myself for doing it.

I like using "awesome" in it's true sense. Like "Did you see that person being carried away in the ambulance after the car wreck? It was awesome." It messes with people.

One way to get around that is to simply use it as a noun rather than an adjective. As in, 'Darryl Sutter is an awesome.'
I think I've seen people somewhere on the Internet doing that.

I hate when fans talk about "must win games" when they absolutely aren't. If a game is really a must win game, then if you lose, your season is over. It is never a mid-season game.
I also hate when someone says that a guy like Daymond Langkow was dominant tonight when he got three points in a 4-3 win. To dominate someone means that we absolutely hammered the opposing team and that they didn't even belong in the game against us. Team Canada usually dominates France for example. This term is used way too much.

I have a friend who absolutely hates the word "fixins", as in "turkey dinner with all the fixins" - albeit that it is a noun. If she annoys me I just put on a hickish accent and ask her if she wants to "Head on down to the hootenanny an' grab ourselves some picnicking with aaaaaaalllllll the fixins?!?" Gets her every time.

The word 'random' bothers me ALOT as well, especially when someone equates everyday happenings as 'random' events. For example, when some bozo says "oh wow, I accidentally dropped my bag. That was so random!"
NO! IT WASN'T RANDOM! It's as common as birds and bees! It happens all the time!
Not everything in this world is random - a meteorite striking a city, that's random - everyday quirks, follies, and foibles? NOT RANDOM.
