Default Wrestlemania Sunday

Good afternoon wrestling fans..it's our Superbowl Sunday..Wrestlemania! what are some of your traditions? and do you think Trump would let his head be shaved? this year's card isn't as strong as previous years but the bottom line is that it's still Wrestlemania!

head to a buddy's place, half watch the event, fart around, carry on, and eat pizza

wrestling PPVs are just an excuse to get together and laugh for a while (except for the Royal Rumble... then money's involved too)

I'm heading over to a buddies place as well for pizza and wings and to watch it. I am totally thinking that Vince is coming out bald as there is not enough money to get Trump to shave his head.
The only thing that I don't understand is that there is 2 heavyweight title matches but you would never know that they are going on as all that you hear about is the hair vs. hair match.

The only match that I am really looking forward to is the money in the bank match. That is usually a really good one.

I havent ordered a WWE PPV in quite a while but I always make a point to order Wrestlemania. I dont really have any traditions though. My nieces have turned into wrestling fans so they'll be watching it too and probably my dad will watch some of it.

My predictions:

WWE Championship: Shawn Michaels vs John Cena.

World Championship: Undertaker vs Batista

Money in the Bank: Orton

Hair vs Hair: Umaga vs Lashley - Nobody - Stone Cold stuns everyone and that's good enough for the crowd.

Women's Title: Ashley vs Melina

Kane vs Great Khali

New Breed vs ECW Originals:

Benoit vs MVP

Anyone notice Hasek in the front row? He was sitting with what looked to be Martin Lapointe, although that wouldn't make much sense.

Even though the camera panned away right away I got a laugh out of the fan who jumped into the ring before the Cena/HBK match and looked like he stripped down to his boxers before being jumped by security.

It was ok. Was it worth the $50 price tag? No. But it the Money in the Bank match was entertaining. Love Mr. Kennedy. Him and Carlito lay the groundwork for a very decent future for the company. Kinda annoyed that Michaels lost the way he did. Cena's a bad wrestler and that match bored me everytime Cena had the upper hand. On the other hand WOW is Michaels still one of the most amazingly gifted wrestlers in the business. Some of the stuff he pulled off was sick. Also watching Edge go through the ladder gave me the goosebumps. That was gross, I hope it didn't hurt him too bad because it look like he was dead almost.

The MITB match was awsome, I was going between Mr. Kennedy and Jeff to win it but after the jump onto Edge I knew that Jeff was not coming back.
The other great move that I liked was Taker going over the top rope, he just flew, did not even touch the top rope to get over like most people, that was awsome. Glad that Taker won, maybe his one last run before retirement?
No real suprizes in the matches, guess the biggest one for me was Ashley not winning, thought that they would continue the Playboy push but I guess that is over and she will be swept under the rug now.
The Cena\HBK match was really good, he made Cena look awsome. So many reversals that just had us jumping thinking that it was over. Wish HBK would have won but I knew that he would'nt.
Also Cena's enterance was awsome but really really sure that was not him driving.

Ya think!?

I'd say it was all pre-taped the night before except for the actual drive into the feild. Notice how long it took for him to get out of the car? It was about enough time for a stunt driver to crawl into the back seat and let Cena crawl over from the passanger seat to get out of the driver's door.

I'm not so sure of that. I read that the WWE wants her to become the new face of the WWE. I wouldnt be surprised if it's announced tonight that she's been traded to RAW and her feud with Melina continues. I figured she would win too but maybe they thought she wasnt quite ready so they kept the belt on Melina.

someone with brain cells left...awesome. Wrestling is the worst thing ever. It's a soap opera for those simple minded folk who like confederate flags hanging off their trailers

Then why post in here? Why not ignore this thread and let the people who enjoy the occasional wrestling match discuss something they all saw?

Not just wrestling... Nickleback, John Mayer, ummm... anything else that people don't enjoy.

It's an open forum. People can't stay out of it if they don't agree with it. It's the nature of CP. If you don't like it, you tell people about it. I'm not a fan of it, but its the way of the site.

I didn't watch WM, but it sounds like it was a better show than most years. Good to see the Taker's streak still intact. Hopefully someone recorded it, and I can borrow it.

It's not just a CP thing. You go on any forum and start a thread on wrestling and you're guaranteed to get somebody calling it gay or for Nascar hicks, .etc. There's certain things that it's mainstream to hate and wrestling is one of them.
