A California company set up to clone beloved pets has gone out of business after cloning just two cats.

Love the name of the company....somehow I thought it might do better with all the animal lovers.

"It's no surprise the demand for cloned pets is basically nonexistent, and we're very pleased that Genetic Savings & Clone's attempt to run a cloning pet store was a spectacular flop," Wayne Pacelle, Humane Society president, said in a statement.

I'm sure there is plenty of demand, it's just that the high price was prohibitive. Cloning pet stores will be back, and some day my budgie will rise from the ashes.
