Mets Chances hurt

Huge blow for the mets, brings them back to earth a bit in my opinion but I hope they can still pull it off

They already came back to Earth. This is going to bury them underneath it.

It's all about who is the hottest going into the post-season.

The Dodgers, Padres, and Phillies have all been winning. Its looking like the Padres and Dodgers will be the 2 teams from that group to make it in. Then you have the Astros and Cards fighting for the other spot. The only way the Mets make it past the 1st round is if they happen to luck out and face the Cards.

I think the Braves seemed to always have the problem the Mets are currently facing in that they had their division wrapped so long ago that they haven't been playing with any intensity lately. Often the Braves would get bumped by a Wild Card team that had to fight it's way in. In fact in the past few years Wild Card teams have made a lot of noise either winning the series or getting to the series. The Mets should win the NL, their lineup is so far ahead of everyone elses it is funny. But if they can't get their intensity up to the right level come playoff time they won't. Now they're going to need Steve Trachsel to be a go to guy in a short series.

THat is without a doubt a huge blow, but they still have the best lineup in the NL easily. Omar Minaya has done a great job there. I don't like them to win the WS but I still like them to win the NL

Really sucks for Pedro, but the less New York the better.

This is a huge blow for the NL. I thought the Mets had a decent shot if Pedro came up big, but now, I can't see anyone touching whoever comes out of the AL.
