HealthCare Premium Refund?
Did anyone else get one of these? Just got a cheque for $66 bucks and I have no idea why... I'm actually under the impression I haven't paid enough, and yet, here's this cheque. Maybe it's the new Ralph cheque but it's being hushed?
As a side note, YAY for a new season of Corner Gas!

How much did you make last year? I know they'll charge you for health care, but refund the amount paid if you didn't make x dollars the year before. No idea what that amount is though... you probably would have had to make not a lot of cash for that to have happened.

Well, yes and no. I made about $36,000 last year so I know I should be paying for it. Telus has started paying for half, so I took my first statement and only paid half of it, knowing Telus was paying the other half. I haven't received any other statements though and I know they send them out quarterly... so theoretically I should owe them two more payments for half the total amount...

Well... half the payment is $22, so $66 would be half of 3 months worth of payments. Maybe thats it, you're being refunded for half your payment for 3 months because Telus was paying for that. They pay half of mine where I work as well.

But I only paid half. I paid 66, Telus paid $66... it should all work out.

Could the benefit have been made retroactive from three months earlier? I'm sure your HR department could give you an answer. Hopefully it isn't a voice automated system when you call.

Yup, I sure have. A lot. Have also helped other people call them at times, too, due to the nature of my profession.
Takes some time in waiting, but....its just your provincial health care coverage

hmm...
I sent in a form for something like this to alta. healthcare. My next statement was 1/2 the cost of previous ones, but I was expecting a rebate cheque. Once that statement came, I sort of assumed that was the rebate....
Now I might see a cheque in the mail... I won't hold my breath, but a poor student will take what he can, when he can.
