Default IMPORTANT - Throw away your Spinach!

http://news.sympatico.msn.ctv.ca/Top...howbyline=True

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) reported Thursday that an outbreak of E. coli illnesses in the U.S. was associated with bagged, fresh spinach.

I'm a big spinach eater and had to throw away 3 bags of US produced spinach. Take a look folks!

Why not just find a dish that needs cooked spinach?

Seems like a waste to just throw it away on the 0.0001% chance...

Read the following link from MSN, it names all 31 brand names recalled. The link to the Sympatico site does not name the brands, typical of Canadians taking a wishy washy attitude.

With something like e-coli, better to err on the side of being safe.

Now they're saying don't eat spinach, period.

If it's a sporulating strain of bacteria, heating may germinate the spores. Alternatively, heating may kill the bacteria, but release the bacterial toxins. Either way, cooking may not help
