I'll take things that don't surprise me for $500 Alex.
I'm disappointed that it took 6 years of violations to get to this point.

I actually found part of a bandaid in my meal once. Luckily, I hadn't eaten too much of my food before I found it.
I sent it back. I laughed when they brought me the bill for it, expecting me to pay for it. That restaurant went under shortly after thankfully.

I don't think it is a Chinatown bakery. The address is 1423 Centre St. I'm not sure if that's N or S but either one is outside of Chinatown.

It's in the asian market just south of 16th ave in the NW, although I'd bet many places in Chinatown use mouse droppings in place of the bbq pork

This is the Lambda Oriental Market on 14th Ave North at Center... You will see this bakery as soon as you go through the door... its on the right... I've eaten the stuff from there a couple times... tastes like crap anyway... haven't been there since the first time I ate it...
I'm not at all surprised by this...

Not a word of a lie, I have driven through chinatown twice and have seen a guy stop, go to the back of his truck, get a cage packed to the gills with piegons and walk into a restaurant ... seen this twice.

I was painting an apartment in ChinaTown around 6 years ago, the tall bulding on Center St. close to the bridge. Went downstairs with a few empty paint cans to throw in the dumpster, stepped up and took a quick look before throwing in the cans and saw fur. A whole bunch of fur.
The cooking smells in the building that day made me sick to my stomach. Glad I don't paint anymore, or eat meat.

I wish we'd adopt Toronto's Health Pass system. Each restaurant has to post their latest inspection certificate in their front door. You learn to avoid those without a clean inspection certificate.
One place on Spadina I went to had an Orkin certificate of "services" in their front window. I still ate there, it was cheap - figured anyone that actually posted that was actually on the straight and level!
It's ridiculous how long it took to shut that bakery down. Shiz like that needs to be dealt with ASAP. 3 strikes and you're shut down for a month. Shouldn't take someone's kidney to fail before they do something.
