Are you objecting because it's for a gay service?

And seeing that "having money to blow" is a pretty common expression, and private jet is in all caps as well, there is a chance that what you read into it is more indicitive of your mindset than ans subversive message by the advertisers.

Advertising a gay dating service would be a real pain in the butt for some of the people here.

Interesting, with my Mozilla browser, all I see are 5 different ads. Survey ones and the spyware one. Switched over to IE for a second and whamo, ads I've never seen before and lot's of them, inlcuding the one in question. Good ol Firefox.

And I just noticed that there are 3124 members of this message board. How many, conservatively, do you think are men? I'll say 3000.

Not to mention the lurkers... and I think at latest count, 10% of the male population is gay or Bi.

So at least they are appealing to some.

Hell I wouldn't give a crap if there was hardcore graphic sex pictures. Just seems weird that there is a gay ad on a site that is pretty tight (I agree with btw) on it's non-adult themes.
Since when is being gay and dating adult content that would be objectionable?

When the Ad features Adult content and cheesy - yet blatent sexual references, that might be something to consider.

Mike you can call me a redneck but yeah I know that I do find it uncomfortable to see giant billboards of gay phone sex lines and some stuff.

The BLOW thing does seem quite conspicious. How many times have you told someone.... hey man I just was able to win four grand and now it is time to BLOW!! it.

molehill ---> mountain

I have graphics disabled on my browser for browsing CP at work--not because of any ads but because of all the colourful and obviously non-work-related sigs--so this ad is something I've never really noticed before, but I did go have a look at it. And really, a pun on a word like 'blow' is a common enough occurance in any thread here. Hell, this thread now contains several equally suggestive puns. Do you recommend that we censor FlamesAddiction for his 'pain in the butt' pun?

Different strokes for different folks. Some people will take offense to ads like this, politically correct or not. Sometimes it's better to take the high road and avoid the controversy by not having it, which is what I think fotze is getting at.

Can you imagine what would happen if this site had a "Join the CIA" link on it? I think it would make Lanny's eyes bleed.
