I know a few for UofA...

I only took a couple of spring courses at UofC.
International Economics was pretty easy but I can't remember if that was 200 or 300 lvl. Easy weekly quizes make up a big chunk of your mark.

Edit.. just checked.. its Econ 321

It's been a while (so who know if its still offered), but I took Geography courses to fill those requirements. One in particular was Geography of Australia/New Zealand. It was literally vacation photos and videos from the prof.

You can take Psychology and Sociology classes. They are usually easy and loaded with fairly good looking girls.
Disclaimer: Fair amount of reading involved.

You have to take Biology 307. Its called "Ecology and the Human Affairs". Its one of those science classes intended for non-science majors who require a science class (like Astronomy 205 and Geog 205).

Its a 300 level course with two exams (a midterm and a final both multiple choice). You cannot beat that for a 300 level course. No papers or assignments (I did take it two years ago so you may want to check a current syllabus).

Btw I got my Econ degree in 2005. Which one are you up for?

I enjoyed the Bio I took last year... can't remember the number but it was a 300 level course and was basically the human anatomy.

Geo Physics 375 - natural disasters

Half of class is spent watching videos, no essays, and two exams. Only two 75 minutes classes per week. Plus its actually interesting.

If Brian Keating is still teaching it, you must take human anthropology and primatology (ANTH 325?? Don't quote me on that). You watch home movies of him chilling with Jane Goddall in Gombe and in other exotic locations around the world. Plus he is also very funny and engaging (that's why he had shows on the Discovery Channel and CBC Radio).

It is also really easy, if that motivates your course selection (which I find personally objectionable, but to each his own).

last I checked, they got rid of the Geography of Australia and New Zealand...but Geography tends to be a good choice. Wil Holden teaches one (I forget which, I never had the opportunity to take it)...and I enjoyed Political Geography with Peter Herem (be warned, you'll either like the guy, or absolutely hate his teaching style).

Try and get into one of the MUHL (Music History) that involve pop/rock music

The Natural Disasters course is a good one from what I hear

Any course with Wil Holden is worth it. Also Linda Henderson.

Geog 213-geog of world affairs

The instructor is really humorous and its a very interesting class. One of those ones that really teaches you alot about the world and its different countries that you will use in everyday life. 1 mc midterm and one mc final. I got an A in it once he curved all our marks up.

Fair enough. When I got around to having to take those options, I absolutely relished the chance to take something I found interesting and challenging, with total disregard for whether someone else found it easy or difficult. The optional courses I took in my final year were (I forget the course numbers):

Drama: Introduction to acting
German: Hesse
Statistics: Statistics for the physical sciences
Religion: Sanskrit
Philosophy: The philosophy of biology
Comparative literature: European theories of literature

Some turned out to be easy, others not so much. But I was never really concerned about grades anyway.

Wil Holden just gives you a constant headache. That said, it is really hard to doze off or day dream in his class, which can be a good thing.
