Kayaking in Calgary.

Is there a launch somewhere at Glenmore Reservoir where I could put in a canoe or kayak? Or where else around here can this be done?

A fried of mine is an avid kayaker, ans he goes out to the Kananaskis river all the time (beside Nakiska). The flow is controlled, and apparently the stunts are man made for kayaking, and is supposedly a lot of fun.

Elbow falls/the Elbow river are apparently quite good as well.

Yes there is a canoe/kayak club on glenmore. I would think anyone would be allowed to use the docks there for canoes/kayaks.

I used to row there when I was a kid, but for the life of me I can't remember how to get over to it. I think you access it off South bound Crowchild somewhere?

Keep going south on crowchild and eventually it turns into Glenmore park. The rowing/canoeing/kayak club is on the left shortly into the park.

The yacht club is there and there's a boat launch. Not sure if you can drop canoes/kayaks at that end or not.
