AOL has decided to hand over all of its user's search queries to the government. Why anyone is still with AOL is beyond me...

AOL has given a number to identify its users for instance rumkitty8282 becomes oh, let's say, 1809762. How long before people crack who is who?

I heard a recording with a customer wanting to cancel his AOL and they wouldn't do it. Might be the same one. If I had that problem I would have gone beserk.

The best was when they gave out the floppy disks; back when floppy disks were useful; circa 1996. I don't think I ever had to buy floppies after that point.

An important lesson; keep in mind that whoever your ISP is, what you say on the internet can and in this case is monitored.

Its unfortunate that my curiousity got the better of me on this one.

It reminds me of a site probably long defunct that a friend showed me about a decade ago called "The Creeping Eye"
