New Place To Eat

The wife and I were killing some time yesterday prior to going to the Rockyview for more prenatal classes and decided to get a bite to eat.

Splitt ...on 7746 Elbow Drive.

Good Food. Good Service. NIce completely reno'd from the dive that was there before. Great Patio facing Elbow drive.

What kind of food is it? Pub fare?

Apparently ...according to thier NEON sign they are a pancake house and Lounge (eatery)

The food is pretty much along the lines of a pub. We ordered dry boneless pork Ribs AND veggy plate with carrots, mushrooms, celery, snap peas, cucumber and a nice dill dip AND ginger beef AND a sliced plantain with dip.

All were very good sized portions.

We are going to go for breakfast as they advertise as opening at 7 am 7 days a week for breakfast.

ummmm....pancakes....and beer.

interesting. grew up 5 minutes from there, know the location well--I assume you are referring to the stand alone building adjacent to the strip mall ...and the revolving door of restaurants that have been there since the Pizza place (Castle)moved...will check it oot next time I'm in the neighbourhood

Castle Pizza was my dads favorite pizza place, we knew the people who owned it on more than just a customer level. Was sad to see it go.

But Splitt did look packed last night, and the patio lively. Have wanted to check it out.

It used to be called On Tap, a dive that many of my co-workers were regulars at. They certantly have cleaned the place up a little...

Had breakfast there on Saturday morning and it was deeeeeeelish!

It's always good having breakfast and BEER.
