Default DVD Burning question

When I try to burn a tv show to disc that I have recorded onto my PC, the lip synch gets progressively worse to a point where the sound is about 2 seconds before the video. Does anyone know how to solve this? I've done some googling but cannot find a definitive answer.
Thanks.

Are you burning them as data or do you actuall create a DVD?

The worst thing, it could be several different things.

Try updating the firmware of your DVD drive.

What speed is the DVD? I have found that 2X DVD's (older one's) do this sometimes. Try using newer DVD's if you are suing older one's.

Try changing the program that you are using.

Try changing DVD brands.

Video card could be a problem.

What format is the original file, and what program are you trying to use to burn it?

How are you burning it to disc (CD or DVD?)? What steps do you take?
What operating system and program are you using to play it?

If you play it on your computer, do you get the same effect?

If you play it on your computer, and do get the same effect, what
happens if you pause it, then play it? Does it go back in sync
then fall out again?

How about play/pause/play on your DVD player?

If it is behaving this was, it's a codec issue on your burning
software. Now if I can remember how to correct it...hrmmmm.

I used a bunch of cheap programs before to do my DVD's and it was always hit and miss. I finally bought Creator 8 and it works great. No audio video sync differences. Always burns good.

I had this problem. It comes from burning program converting the download files (vid, divx) to vod for the dvd. Try other program or get newest codecs for the file type. If not try converting the file on your computer to mpeg most programs encode that well.
