Default Congratulations Adam Loewen

Congratulations to Surrey, British Columbia's Adam Loewen on his first major league win. I'm sure it will be the first of many.

Congratulations also go out to Scott Mathieson of Aldergrove BC on making his major league debut last month and pitching quite admirably. He has a very bright future with the Phillies and I know his dad Doug is incredibly proud of him.

These are two guys I played against and are the first two products of the British Columbia Premier Baseball League, formed in 2000, to make the major leagues. I'm sure they are just the beginning, as the best baseball league in the country continues to produce top talent.

Congrats to these two guys, you are making us all back home extremely proud!

good job...I remember Loewen pitching in that World Baseball Classic game against USA. Looked like a pretty good pitcher, and that was one hell of a game.

Between these guys and Bay and Morneau there's been quite a bit of good young baseball talent coming out of B.C.

Great to see.
