Positions: Up to four positions available ranging from Mid-level to Senior level.

KnowledgeWhere is a Location-Based Services (LBS) company who over the past 3 years has created the tools and connectivity required for application developers, publishers and carriers alike to easily leverage wireless location context in their applications and content. KnowledgeWhere has successfully commercialized a number of location-based applications across North America.

KnowledgeWhere (through its wholly owned subsidiary Blister Entertainment) was the first company in North America to successfully develop and launch a location-based mobile game. With award winning titles such as Swordfish™ and Torpedo Bay™ and a variety of social networking applications, KnowledgeWhere has positioned itself as a leader in the Location-Based Mobile Entertainment industry.

KnowledgeWhere is growing and we’re seeking smart, energetic and ambitious developers to help fuel this growth. We are looking to fill several positions that range from Mid-level to Senior level responsibilities.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, code and test applications and games, primarily in Java.
• Participate in the design and creation of applications and games for the mobile industry.
• Support on-going operations.
• Provide technical support as required.
• Document as required.
• Think, Learn and Lead.

What You Must Know:

• Experience with software design and principles such as Java Certified, Extreme Programming, and other industry leading processes.
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Demonstrated communications skills
• 2-5 years Java experience is a must. Preferably either J2ME and/or J2EE.
• Post-Secondary Education in Computer Science or related field

What Would Be Nice To Know:

• Database Guru’s (MySQL, Oracle) are always welcome
• Experience in developing web apps
• Understanding of the wireless and/or LBS industry
• Experience with BREW (C++/C#)
