Default Tool Concert

Didn't see a thread on this. Just wondering if anyone caught the show last night? I went and thought it was flipping awesome

I was begining to think I was the only person from CP that went...
i was there. It was the best concert i have been to. But i should qualify that by saying it has been the only concert i have been too

I am going in Edmonton tonight. The last Tool show a couple years ago here was unbelievable, so I am really looking forward to tonight. It is sure to be an amazing concert experience once again.

How was the opening band, Isis?

Tried to make it for the opening band, but the line for Floor tickets moved insanely slow. It took about 45 minutes of waiting in line just to get in so ended up missing all of Isis.

Isis was...well, I'll say good. The songs seemed to be multi-segmented, which I like, but it never really went anywhere. Time signatures that you need a calculator to keep track of. Very much music for musicians.

Tool, good show. Highlights were Lateralus and Aenima. Stinkfist was a good way to kick it off too! I just wished they played Hooker with a Penis. Yes, to all you non Tool fans, that is the name of the song.

Just got home, great concert as expected. A totally different show than last go around, at least we got to hear Maynard talk a little.

He at one point said, 'Calgary says hi'. LOL

I've seen Tool live twice, so I decided to pass this time around. How did the new material come across live? I thought 10,000 days was somewhat mediocre.

The songs sounded freaking amazing. Jambi, The Pot, Vicarious, and at least one other that the name escapes me sounded unreal.

Danny Carey is the greatest drummer of all time. He makes the show worth 10 times what I paid to go see it.

Those in Calgary got Right In Two, those in Edmonton got Opiate.

I enjoyed my seats in the Chuck better... I was on the floor in Calgary and the assigned seating was pretty ass.

I think I liked the 'Chuck show a little better, but maybe only because of my seats. Both were indescribably awesome.

Amazing show. I thought Jambi and The Pot were outstanding from 10,000 Days. Of course those are my two favourite songs fromr that album.

I think its great that Isis is getting exposed to a bigger audience. I am not much of a Tool fan but they always pick excellent opening acts. I've seen Isis too many times to count and am always impressed. Just like someone said earlier definitely musician's music...

I loved the concert! They went more cost friendly this round. No large back drops with creepy videos lol.... Love tool and loved the concert! They played for almost 2 hours! Don't forget "fourty six and two".
