Wrath of God called down on Calgary: Reverend
Did Pat Robertson land in Calgary and nobody knew?
A local Reverend says the wrath of God will be called down on Calgary because the Stampede Grandstand Show had three village chieftains from Ghana summoning the spirits of their ancestors.
Pagan worship apparently.
The good news is the Reverend is praying for us all to be saved from certain doom.

Maybe we will see car size hail, raining down on the grandstand…

We did have two pretty good thunderstorms, maybe we got off with a heavy warning this time.

Maybe Allah will strike down the reverend for being a wicked pagan...

###. I was shocked when I read the thread title and saw it was posted by Cowperson, not our mouldy humanist friend.

Ummm...don't many aboriginal Canadians subscribe to beliefs which could only be described as "pagan?" (Correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm not a fan of organized religion . . . . . but I'm not an atheist.
When I see an intolerant fanatic like the Reverend in this story . . . . its always fun to pull him out from under his rock and into the light of day.
And its a dead-ringer to the Pat Robertson threat that God was going to blow up, I think, Pittsburgh for some similar reasoning.

Cheese isn't needed here, the intolerance is obvious.
What I'm wondering is how someone with these views becomes a chaplain at the Calgary International Airport?

I love stories like this! I admit to watching televangelists on t.v. for purely entertainment purposes. The best one going right now is Peter Popoff and his miracle spring water, "I received the miracle spring water and the next day my insurance settlement came in!"
Benny Hinn is of course the alpha male of televangelism. You gotta love his hair which looks like someone draped a small grey towel over his head unevenly. "I see a boy out there, his name is Charlie, he has a sore back, Father please heal Charlie."

Dear Reverend,
God doesn't give a **** about Stampede.
Signed,
Reasonable people everywhere.
Isn't the airport chapel supposed to be non denominational?
