If I can get tix, I'll go! I'm willing to pay something around $125-$150 for a once in a lifetime concert like this.

Sadly, I know more of Daltry from Highlander than the Who.

I'm torn.

15 years ago I'd be there but, while there music still holds up and is amazing, I don't want to buy expensive tickets to see geriatric rockers who are a shadow of their former selves.

Wasn't their first farewell sometime around 1980?

The Who is well The Who. Cultural icons. It'll be like seeing Bob Dylan in 2006, not the same as he was even 20 years ago. But dammit, it's Bob Dylan.

Haha, Hugh Fitzcairn! I loved that show. Daltry was great.

I'll definatly be tryin' to get tickets to this. Probably take my old man. He got to see them up in Greasetown 20-some years ago. Classic rock concerts with yer old man are always good times.

Just bought my tickets about 15 minutes ago

If your buying in a group of 4 or are desperate for tickets, use the The Who Tour Presale option for an additional 76 dollars and you can buy now as well as get a DVD of various footage of the tour at the beginning of '07

Wow, what a great deal*

I like the Who as much as the next guy (well, that depends on who is standing next to me) but good lord this is getting ridiculous. How much money do these guys really need? I know I know, they don't need any money, they just love performing. Funny though how they keep charging more money but they don't even want it.

*my apologies to Flaming Homer. I don't mean to sound nasty, but that sounds quite a scam they are pulling with that DVD thing. It reminds me of the old "buy a Bowness Flames puck for $2000 and I'll throw in two tickets to Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final" trick.

well considering it worked out to an extra 18.50 per person and I get to keep the DVD anyways which essentially pays itself off I consider it quite the good deal

EDIT- Also I think the Who Tour thingy is non-Who related and is moreso to do with ticketmaster and other ticket selling places than The Who.

I was bummed to see that they weren't coming anywhere near Texas, but when I saw the Saddledome on Oct 5th I was thinking about making a trip to see them and the home opener against Edmonton, but I can't afford to do that.
