Default Got a big COLA!!!

Just got a big 5.5% COLA (cost of living adjustment) at work effective the start of the month. Just got my first paycheck expecting to see a nice bump. Was I shocked to see that I was taking home less money than I was prior to the adjustment. Our salaries went up 5.5%, but our healthcare insurance and retirement benefits increased to eat that up and then some. F'in healthcare down here is ridiculous. You guys up in Canada don't realize just how good you have it! The things you do to golf year round.

Here I was wondering why on Earth Lanny was so excited about a big bottle of pop.... You still probably bring home far more than I can expect to being in advanced technology development. We get paid like poop and work too hard.

Are you saying that your new job pays 40% more in salary?

Maybe, you gotta stop working for The Man, go into business for yourself.

"Conspiracies R Us" or something. Look how well Ann Coulter does.

Some data for amusement:
