I watched last season thinking it had potential
Noticed on Tuesday that season 2 had started, whoops, missed 9 episodes.. But caught up in a snack filled evening last night - this morning, all 9! It's pretty good.
Although I think watching shows in the manner I do, a few at once (3-4) without commercials makes them a lot more enjoyable then week by week with commercials.

When a passing comet abruptly changes course and hurtles towards Earth, there is widespread panic and distress as people prepare for Armageddon. However, the comet does not crash: instead, it slows down, hovers, and eventually touches down on a lake in the Pacific Northwest. Finally, 4400 people emerge from a blinding white light, people from all different ages and walks of life who have been presumed dead or missing - and none aged even a day from when they were last seen. It's as if a giant time capsule full of people has been opened up, unaltered and untouched by time. Although not immediately evident, it soon becomes apparent that The 4400.........
A new federal division agency of Homeland Security called NTAC (National Threat Assessment Command) is formed to follow The 4400, lead by Tom Baldwin, a crime investigator, and Diana Skouris, a bio medic. Tom's involvement is personal: his nephew Shawn was one of the 4400 people abducted - and, if not for Shawn, his son Kyle would have been abducted instead.
Building their investigation case by case, Tom and Diana slowly begin to shed light on the mystery of the 4400. Finally, on the very beach where Shawn was abducted, they learn the truth about what happened:....

I ...'ed bits so not to ruin the plot as it pretty much gives away the whole first season since I think they assume people have seen it as we're onto season 2.
You can rent season 1 (It was only 5 shows) from Rogers Video, or you could get it easily via alternative methods... dot dot dot..

Is there a site where I can find the whole cap for the first season, I don't have the time anymore like I've had the past month too do nothing all day and sit and watch movies and TV all day.
Thanks, looks like you got one more hooked and I haven't even seen the show yet.

Hehe, yeah it's a good show I think..

Even just watching the first season would only be like watching a 3:45 movie. A full LOTR's lol.

I have Dish Network so I've been watching the new episodes just as they come out. Season 2 is just about done. Just when it started to get old, they had an awesome episode that turned everything around. Just awesome writting.
Spoiler below. Highlight my entire post, as I wrote the spoiler in white font.
They had an eppisode where Tom wakes up in a parallel universe where the 4400 never happened. Mia is a grandmother, etc. He meets this woman who is supposedly his wife in this alternate reality. She is a 4400, and doesn't know what's going on. They show 8 years of them living in this world; ending up falling in love, Tom's son becoming a doctor, etc. Everything is just perfect. Then Tom finds out what happened, and the future people tell him he can continue to live here, or return to the real world. He chooses to return.
What's good about it is this; the story is getting sad and gloomy. The main character is given a choice to get out of it all, but chooses to stay.
You have to see it; it rocks.

I was going to start a new 4400 thread, but figured this one would do nicely.
Season 3 starts on Sunday. I just happened to be flipping through the channels and saw a 4400 marathon last week, ending with one they called "New." Turns out it was just a 1 hour recap of the last 2 seasons, sort of like they do on "Lost" every once in a while.
The one thing I missed form the end of Season 2, Did they show Isabelle being an adult? I think I missed that entirely.
I love how USA, TNT, FX, etc have summer shows. Gives me something to watch!

Ken, are you and I the only ones watching this show? I wanted to re-use this thread rather than starting a new one. I've plowed my way through the first two seasons of this series in the past couple weeks while work was winding down and am totally hooked. I've got to get ahold of episodes 1 and 2 for this season ...
I'd really suggest this show to anyone looking for some summer time entertainment. Good stuff!

After reading this thread I went and "obtained" the first two season and episodes 1-4 for season 3.. its not too bad of a show, but I find the story line is moving two slow.

Well, I hate to say it but I've only seen about 10 minutes of this season so far. I have been recording them, so at some point this week I'll be bringing my laptop onto the deck and watching them. (I took next week off seeing as it's only a 3 day week.)
I guess part of the problem is the old thing of Space being so far behind USA in broadcasts, and with this being one of the signature shows on USA there are also promos galore for it. My personal favourite is the one where Mia grabs a young boy her age, and they start riding bikes. The whole time she's telling him "hurry, hurry." They stop outside a MLB stadium, and the boy hold out a glove. Mia moves his gloved hand about a foot, and all of a sudden you hear a crack of a baseball bat. 3 seconds later the ball lands right in the boy's glove, and Mia is just sitting there grinning.
