Hockey Skates

I haven't skated for about 7 or 8 years and I'm looking at starting again. First I need some skates. Any recommendations on what brand of hockeys skates I should get? Where is the best place to get them?

I'm not looking to spend a lot of skates ($300 max).

Any help would be appreciated.
