OK GMs...due to the success of this venture we are going to start adding layers to the Agencies....All agents have agreed to play the game year round and the way we have it set up is the same as a GM...so if time becomes an issue we can move another agent in.
The following items will be implemented soon...not now...soon...
1) Arbitration for RFA's - make it like the real thing with three arbitrators, the league owner, one agent, one GM not related to the player, owners have the right to accept arbitration, or walk away. (Not implemented yet)
2) Agent has the the ability to demand trades via holdouts. This isn't a tool to be used often, but it would give Agents stroke later on in the season, or at the start of the following seasons. (Implemented now....Agents can make demands for their players...they can also act as a liason withother GMs in trade talks.)
3) One way versus two way contracts. This would force trade movement for players that are hidden in the minor league system, it could force some greater parity in the league. (Not implemented yet...but very soon!)
4) Tiered contracts. 3 mill 1st year...2.5 second etc....(Not implemented yet...but will be soon!)
5) No trade deals. Can be discussed as part of the deal. (Not implemented yet...but soon)
6) Agents will negotiate all deals for UFAs and RFAs in the offseason...the old way is gone and finished.
A few more items will be added to this...the CPHL is very happy that this idea has worked out so well, and we owe a big clap of the hands to the Agents for helping us out with these things. This will definately create another huge step in the success of the league and will do nothing but enhance the game.
