Default Tool concert

So a Tool concert was announced for Edmonton today, and I see Calgary is getting a show as well of course, Thursday August 24th at the Saddledome.

So who's going to go? I saw Tool a few years ago at Rexall and it was one helluva show. Since then I've grown into an even larger fan, and don't plan on missing this one.

Are they big enough to play the Saddledome now? Geez I'm out of the loop. I thought they were just a bunch of rockin' rockers that rockers liked.

I saw them at Mac Hall in 1997 (I think). It was a great show but there's no way I'm going to the Saddledome. Ticketmaster strikes again.

Yeah, they are big enough. I am pretty sure they nearly or completely sold out Rexall a few years ago.

I saw them at the Dome back in Oct 2002. The Dome was sold-out or nearly sold-out. I'll check them out for sure again.

Seen em twice now. Don't know if I'll be going to this one. They are worth it if you havent seen them yet.

That sounds awesome, I might have to check that out for sure.

Just saw Godsmack last night at the U of C, and it was great. Got the Chilli peppers lined up as well. I wouldn't mind adding another....

I've been a massive Tool fan since the day Undertow was released, seen them 3 times so far and I wouldn't mind goign again. But crap is gettign too expensive, I find myself saying no to a lot of shows lately. In the past I would have scooped up tickets in a second. I've just been to so many shows, getting tired of paying those Ticket******* fees and spending money hand over fist.

I agree that prices are getting insane. I see a lot of concerts, but with ticketmaster's "convenience" charges, pickup charges, and charges for charging charges, I can definitely see why people would stop buying tickets.

That said - this is freakin' Tool! I will be getting tickets, no doubt.

Hmm, it's been a over a year since I've been to a show at the dome but the floor tickets I got for Tool appear to be assigned seats? They can't possibly be hoping that people will stay in their seats on the floor of a show like this can they?

I think I might be flying out just to see TOOL! A long haul from Newfoundland but well worth it IMO!

I saw Godsmack as well, and that drum duel never gets old.

Got my Tool tix this morning.

Floor seats baby... they give row numbers on the floor but I don't remember the 2002 concert being that organized on the floor.

I really hope the floor is just general admission.
