Default Nice weather eh?

Just started pounding down hail at the Foothills Hospital where I work. A warning for all: It might be on it's way to you soon.

I'm not sure were are going to get another day all summer without rain.

Its been like this the entire week (maybe more)... it looks nice every morning and by the time the afternoon comes around, it starts pouring like crazy... I live in Central North Calgary and up on a hill... it is not a pretty site looking outside right now...

Just finished driving down Centre Street, through Huntington Hills, Beddington and Thorncliffe... a couple of intersections were absolutely flooded; we're lucky our little Corrolla was able to make it through the water

I heard some rumblings, but all is still sunny down in the south east.

It looks like, on the weather radar, that the storm skirted the south part of the city, hammered the north.

Little bit of a chance of some swirling action as well, as two wind sytems were meeting, going in opposite directions. I guess some said they saw some action overtop of downtown and in Sterling, there may have been a small tornado touch down. Chance for more thunder bangers tomorrow according to The Weather Network/Environment Canada.

Much better than snow and cold though. I will take rain and sporadic sun over the winter anyday of the year.

I got caught outside while walking the dog when it really started coming down. I was only about a hundred yards from my house but I still got soaked right through. . .that and got pelted by hail. My lousy dog kept wanting to go back outside and play in it.

That rain sure made our weekly pick up soccer game interesting. I can safely say I should invest in some cleats.

But yea, driving home in that hail was insane...people were going 20 up Shagganappi.

Yeah, swirling clouds over Kensington today, I knew there was hail coming so we headed home on the motorbike, made it just in time.

I don't mind the rain, but I would appreciate some sunshine sometime soon.

With this rain at the end of every sunny day, it's hard to keep a vehicle clean and shiny...

Wow, we got absolutely pounded on for about 3 minutes and then it was gone. Very strange, but pretty cool to watch. I love watching the rain come down like that.

For those complaining about the rain, in my area of town it rained in total yesterday for maybe 1/2 an hour. Sunshine the rest of the day. That's fine by me. What would kill me is the 3 weeks straight you can get in Vancouver and area.

I was at the Deane House at a work function when that all hit. You could practically watch the Elbow River rise as the storm went on. Havent seen rain like that since I was in Tampa.
