Jason Bay is a good baseball player
Yes, I am biased since he grew up about 10 minutes from my house, but he is one of the best players in the majors right now. Unfortunately he plays on a terrible team.
In his last 12 games he is hitting .412 with 9 HRs and 25 RBI.
Overall this season he is hitting .309 with 15 HR, 43 RBI, 37 runs, 106 total bases, 37 walks, 5 stolen bases, a .434 OBP and a slugging % of .606
Pretty nice numbers for anybody, but excellent considering the lack of supporting cast Bay has to work with.
Just thought Bay deserved from props.

I'm thinking of getting a Jason Bay Canada jersey.
The guy is a stud.

Good to see he's followed up the big contract in the offseason with an even better than expected (IMO) start to this season.

Its good to see off and going. He had a slow little part there near the start of the season, but he has been off to the races since then!

Bay was named NL player of the week today.

Kind of strange that tonight and last night's games were both blowouts for the Pirates, yet Bay had sub-par games offensively. Although I'm sure he'd tell you he'd be happy with having less impressive stats and wins versus having great stats and losing all the time.

I don't ever remember anyone saying he sucked. A lot of American broadcasters think he's actually pretty good.

...just re-stating that he's good. No one said, "he sucked".

What made you think someone said he sucked?
Anyway, Bay just hit his 19th HR tonight. Nice of RSN to show a couple Pirates games in a row. Not many chances to see him play.

After a bit of a cold streak, Jay finally hit his 20th HR today, and registered his 53rd RBI.
Hope this kick-starts another huge hot streak for him.
