Favorite Morning Show
Just wondering what everyone's favorite morning show is to listen on the radio. I gotta say I really like Mike Richards. I used to listen to Q107 because that's the music I'm into but their morning show blows. Richards is funny and not irritating like Forbes.

Better than "All My Stampeders"? LOL
Could we get a poll?
I don't know all the morning show guys in Calgary, I know Eric Francis lends his infinite wisdom to Jack FM. We could just do it by station too.

I like Rob Kerr but he's a huge square. He wouldn't be half as funny as Richards is.

No way. I like Rob Kerr like the next guy, but nothing wakes me up like Steve Armitage impressions. I prefer less intelligent conversation and some comedy than intense analysis in the morning. Peter Maher is a great insertion if I'm in the car for that part of the show.

I used to find I wished Rob Kerr did more. Than he started doing more. I mean he was on the Big Show and then Sportsline, and then the pre-game, and then the post game, and then overtime...like non-stop Kerr from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM. He got pretty irritating.
Rob Kerr is good, but only in small to moderate amounts.
Richards is the king of the morning.

Were you listening on the opening day of the playoffs? He was on the air for at least 12 hours. You know that little voice you have in your head? I think mine changed to Rob Kerr's voice after that day, and he may have been narrating my dreams.

Yeah, I get that Richards is funny but I would just prefer straight up sports in the morning. My favourite part of that show is Maher in the morning. Pete is the best. We're lucky to have that guy in Calgary.
I'd rather hear the comedy in the afternoon when I'm frustrated driving home in the traffic. Listening to Dowbiggin & Kerr argue isn't always the most pleasant audio for the drive home.

I disagree. I'd rather have comedy in the morning to wake me up than boring analysis. Plus, Kerr argues with everyone whether it morning, noon or night. I don't need to hear arguing and analysis before I've had my coffee.
On that note, I'm also a huge Jim Rome fan, but does that count as a morning show?

Rome definitely counts as a morning show if you were out until at least midnight the night before.

ABF - Anything but Forbes. God that guy is awful....he's been doing the same childish crap for ever now, and the older he get's the more he tries to sound young and with it. Man is it pathetic.

Mike Richards in a landslide. His impressions are gold, from Steve Armitage to Vijay Singh to Bob Cole.
He always has at least one segment on the way to work that has me chuckling.

I too would have to go with Richards. I thought it was great when he found out that Forbes was stealing some of his bits, that was hilarious.

Mike Richards big time! "Like pucks through Cloutiers pads, so are the flames of our lives" Dutchie and Don is pretty funny too...
Nothing compares to it in the morning, especially the hilariousness of what he says and does.

I'll be different: I'm a fan of the Q107 morning show. Decent music in the morning, and the announcers have a good sense of humour, and they don't yell at you. I just can't listen to all talk in the morning for whatever reason...
