So Which Movies are you most anticipating?
Not only this summer but in the months to come?
Personally I can't wait to see Clerks 2: The Passion of the Clerks...I'm a huge fan of Kevin Smith and have seen everything he has done and this one will undoubtedly be better than Jersey Girl....and I can't wait to see Snakes on a Plane...I just love this title and the movie is bound to be a cheesy B-Style Horror Flick so you can't go wrong.
Those two are the ones I can't wait to see the most but here are some more titles that I wouldn't mind seeing.
Miami Vice, Ghost Rider, Superman Returns and Lady in the Water.

I'm sorry but Miami Vice looks really bad. Looking forward to Superman Returns, Clerks 2, POTC 2, Pulse, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Snakes on a Plane, Beerfest, Idiocracy.
Sort of looking forward to Lady in the Water, but I was so disappointed in The Village that I'm not going to get my hopes up.

I think Miami Vice looks sweet, I think Tubbs and Crockett were perfectly cast and the fact that Michael Mann is directing is the selling factor for me. He's not making this a goofy comedy like Starsky and Hutch. Having said all that, how much can you really tell by a trailer??
Other ones I am looking forward to are Superman, and Snakes on a plane as well. Have no interest in Clerks 2, and this is from someone who absolutely loved Clerks. I just don't see the point, the best thing about that movie was the fact that it was very low budget and had no name actors and looked very low budget, and it relied on the hilarious writing of Kevin Smith. And after I saw Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, I don't think Kevin SMith is capable of doing something like that. That movie was terrible, I mean it had scenes of absolute brilliance, but for the most part, it was another dumb, cliche comedy. That and WIll Ferrell was in it, he sucks. I know Im gonna get ripped for that.

I can't wait for The Break Up actually. X-Men 3 should be good also, Super Man meh the origin story again...seen it all several times.
Oh and Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Mans Chest will be awsome I'm sure.
Lady in the Water might be good, the new M. Knight Shamalayan (sp?) flick.

I was under the impression that it has nothing to do with an origin story. I thought the stroy unfolds with Superman returning after being on Krypton for a really long stint, he comes back and finds out that Lois has moved on and has fallen in love with some other dude. And Lex Luthor gets out of prison to wreak more havoc. Thats what I was told and from the previews, it looks that way as well.

This movie is basically Superman III as if Superman III and IV never happened.
Superman comes back after a long time. Finds out Lois has a kid and is in a relationship with Cyclops lol. Lex Luthor tries to kill him and blow off a part of the continent to create his own country, blah blah blah.

The Break Up and Superman. Routh has some big shoes to fill. It'll be interesting to see how a new installment of Superman movies goes.

X3, and Click. I find Adam Sandler movies hilarious (am I the only one who liked 50 First Dates?) and think this will and excellent summer comedy.

All I know is that I will be spending lots of money at Crowfoot Crossing this summer. X-men, Superman, Pirates, The Break Up... too many to count. I love summer movie season.

Nacho Libre and Art School Confidential both look like decent comedies. Lady in the Lake I'll go see because I still really like Shyamalan as a director, even though I'd rather see him give up screenwriting and do other people's screenplays. Two gorgeous-looking period pieces coming up are House of Sand and The Proposition; Guy Pearce films tend to be great. I'll probably go see X-Men, but it doesn't really excite me. None of the supposed blockbusters this summer do.

remakes are quite often disappointments... won't keep me from seeing 'the omen.'
as for 'snakes on a plane', any movie that was changed based on fanboy message board ravings and calling for a 'must' line, just because samuel l. jackson is in it, is a movie i can safely skip.
same goes for any movie written on message boards with a bunch of 'must have' scenes, holy craptacular concept batman! group-think, here we come!
EDIT:
'a scanner darkly' is a movie i want to see. and ditto for 'the proposition', the weakest guy pierce movie i've seen is 'the hard word' and it wasn't that bad.

It's a matter of opinion, but Miami Vice looks 100 times better than Talladega Nights: I'm sorry but I'm tired and bored of the Will Ferell thing. The guy is good in small dosages, he should have never left SNL.
I'm looking forward to Miami Vice because it's Michael Mann so you know that it's going to look great, as this is the first complete photoreal film shot on HD, and this man is the king of slow pace brilliance filled with action and character driven stories, something that not many hollywood directors can do. I think this is going to be a very good action flick.

A Scanner Darkly is one I forgot to mention. I like Philip K. Dick's writing and I've liked everything else that Richard Linklater has directed, except for Slacker. I was pretty happy with this new form of Rotoscoping that Linklater used for Waking Life and I can't wait to see what he does with this Scanner.
Oh...and if anyone else has seen this trailer...what is the name of that infamous Beatle song?

Ugh I hate Colin "aren't I a tough boy" Farell and most things he's in are equally as terrible.
Jamie Foxx is Mr. Hype too, and it's got both!
