Default Alouettes sign QB Quincy Carter

Former Dallas Cowboys' and New York Jets' starting quarterback Quincy Carter will be at the Montreal Alouettes training camp in May.

He is a good athlete and a guy that would seem to fit into the Canadian game well, but he has had off-field issues and has no idea how to read a defense and makes some absolutely horrible decisions.

If AC moves on after this season and the Als give Quincy a shot it will be interesting to see what he can do with the bigger field and more freedom for a mobile QB.

Well I doubt he is going to come in and kick Calvillo out of a job. Unless he is absolutely unreal in Training Camp and preseason there is no way that I see the Als going with someone other than AC.

Big drop yes but thats what happens when you have the drug problems that he had and have already been suspended by the NFL once. Who wants to risk those problems again and losing a QB for the season because of another suspension, especially a guy that has shown that he is not a very good NFL starter.

I like how he is now saying that he was promised to be the back up even beofre camp started. There are allegations of more drug abuse agianst him according to somebody on the Als.
