Not to say that she isn't a hero and shouldn't be treated as such, but the honour and the privilage to die for our freedom? Sorry but I don't think that someone being killed in the line of duty, whether it be a police officer or a soldier should be classified as a privilage. I am sure that she was intent on doing her part and helping build another nation through her presence (as all of the soldiers are doing at the current time), but to say that she was privilaged to be killed in action is taking that to an extreme. I wouldn't even go so far as to say that she was privilaged to serve, rather I would state that we as Canadians are privilaged to have had true heroes - as all of the soldiers are - serve this great nation. We are the privilaged ones - not them.

She died for **** all.

That's what makes it even sadder.

She had the honour and priviledge of dying for our freedom? Wow, didn't know the Taliban were oppressing Canadians so much. Not saying that she didn't die for a noble cause but the thread title is a tad ridiculous.

Oh, what a surprise, Evman is 19, a high school graduate!

How original, a 19 year old punk who thinks he has the world all figured out before he even get's in the real world himself?

Why don't you regale us all with your wisdom Evman?

Grow up, why would you attack a person for being 19 and only a high school graduate??

So am I and I'm sick of "so called adults" ending any argument with me stating that I'm just a young punk that knows jack *&&^, as a last ditch effort to look somewhat smart. I could have the most sane and logical argment that makes perfects sense.......but I'm dumb by default.

I know I'm gonna be a wiser in 10 years but, that does not give person with a few grey hairs the right completely disregard what a "young punk" says.

It does when the "punk" says she died for **** all. Nice argument. A soldier died in service to this country, and the people of Afghanistan, and that is the way he shows respect.

Sorry, I can't take a post with that kind of error seriously. I seriously burst out laughing. You're making fun of me for being a "high school graduate", judging by your posts you didn't even make it that far!

You know, if you've got an issue with the politics or the mission or anything else that's your prerogative, but show a bit of common decency for crying out loud.

Unbelievable. The educated 19 year old sets another great example as to why you should vote NDP.

When that young punk says a Canadian soldier died for nothing, THAT'S what gives me the right.
