Default How did CalgaryPuck get started?

I have seen no advertising on TV, billboards, or otherwise, and I don't at all remember how the h#LL I found this site.

Is this a spinoff of the Calgary Flames message boards, and how did so many people end up here without any publicity?

i found this place when the cf.com boards went down, and i'm glad i did. looking at the new official forums they have, it's painful to sort through all the "hottest Flames" and "trade leopold for richards" threads. coming here after only knowing those forums before was like realizing you were sitting at the kiddie table and finally moving up to where the adults were sitting

CalgaryPuck/Fire On Ice predates the official site's forum by several years and has always been the bigger and better of the two.

Umm, why did you even post this? It was a simple question. No need to be condescending about it. If you're trying to sound clever, you have failed.

You musta looked hard because I don't recall seeing a single 'hottest Flame' thread on there.

I used to post as burefan on calgaryflames.com in 1999... it was so terrible. Then I found this site when it was the old Tree forum. and have been here almost every day since. Aside from my hiatus that is
