he's been idolized his entire adult life, probably tough to keep the old ego in check after having that for close to 50 years. The really stupid thing was not having his new wife sign a pre-nup. He's worth an estimated 1.5 Billion dollars, and she'd be entitled to half if they do divorce.

I don't think she would get half ; In Alberta she would only get half of the increase in value of his estate while they were together. What he owned at the date of marriage should be exempt.

She might be entitled to a lot of spousal support though.
