Default Ricky Williams: All but a done deal?

http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/news_story/?ID=166354&hubname=

Dolphins set to clear the way for him, as this is pretty much the final hurdle to jump over for Williams to play in the CFL.

Ricky is apparently eager to play with the Argos.

I know I saw this story a little while ago, and thought it was pretty unbeleivable when the Argos added him to the neg list, but it looks like this might be coming true.

Will wait and see if he dominates.. Different game. He SHOULD dominate I think. or he could flame out like Lawrence Phillips did. Time will tell.

Lawerence Phillips was a great RB in the CFL but he was a dick so nobody wanted him.

Ricky Williams is a tad flakey, but he's fine with me. His attitude is fine he just is "different"

The way I see it is that he's going to appreciate the new experience and tear the CFL up.

I posted in another thread that I think this Ricky Williams business could potentially cause some sour feelings between the NFL and the CFL, though I suppose its possible that league higher-ups might have spoken to the NFL on this matter beforehand.

Ricky has had a questionable work ethic and motivation when it comes to football in the past. I don't see him doing the work or trying that hard in a league like the CFL.

I expect that he will have some good games and good plays but that overall he will be too lazy to have the impact that a player of his calibre should have and that many people would expect.

So does this beg the question is Ricky Williams officially an NFL Draft bust? He was taken in the first round of the 1999 draft by the New Orleans Saints.

Wouldn't Vancouver be a better fit for the reefer?

I don't think this could be said about him. Perhaps that he didn't meet his potential but he did have a few dominating years in the NFL. I guess I'd call his career a disappointment but not a bust.

Kellen Winslow = a bust right now.

The CFL continues it's bush league tactics. Ganja Williams is under suspension and the league should be upholding that suspension.

I don't think that he'll last too long in Toronto. Is Bad mood Rison still there?

Doesn't he have mental health issues though as well?

I heard he had some disorder where he does not do well in large groups of people or where people confront him like in interviews or in a locker room even. Like he would be a recluse if he hadn't been pressured to perform as an athlete in college.

Kind of explains why (1) he needs to take the edge off of his anxiety and (2) why he is so odd.

But i don't think it is fair to just make fun of him. He is not really a Lawrence Phillips type...

Thats probably why he'c come to play in the CFL. The media pressure is very low compared to the NFL.

Claeren.
Social Anxiety Disorder.

I have that too. It's a pain in the ass to get over. I still get hella nervous whenever I'm in a big group and not with atleast one friend. Riding a full bus alone tends to scare the **** out of me.

Do you have a hard time at a hockey game also or is it just in tight confined areas?

Well like I said, when I am with a friend I tend to be fine. I used to not be able to go to hockey games when I was younger though for that very reason.

I would just tense up and stress out. Now I tend to be fine with friends and hockey games usually involve friends. I am sure if I was at a game alone I'd get really nervous when there wasn't any playing so intermissions and commercials.
