Default A movie everyone should watch

http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com

EDIT- There are a few main parts to this video.
First exposes most modern religions we know of today, how they are all based on an Egyptian religion that heavily involves astrology.
You can pretty much skip the first 2 minutes of intro and get right into it.
The next part exposes the events of 9/11 and the proceeding events.
At the end is the best part of it and they'll talk about how a few private bankers control the economy and pretty much every aspect of life as we know it. It's topped off by the mentioning of the North American Union which really should have made every front page in the world if not North America. It's a plan to unify Canada, the US and Mexico.

Enjoy!

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Hmm...that movie appears to be 2 hours. Could you give us a description of what it's about?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it has something to do with conspiracy theories.

Yikes. Watched 30-35 mins of it or so. Some intense stuff, scenes of the WTC coming down always get me. I think the filmmaker used some of the same techniques that are complained about. Manipulation of data and media. I find it hard to believe that the US government, or covert aspects within it would deliberately kill that many of their own citizens to further policy and agenda. However, I am open to hear what the conspiracy theorists have to say and so find value in this film. I think if what this film says is true then it is truly terrifying. But is it possible for such a massive conspiracy and fraud to be perpetrated with no leak, no whistle blower? I doubt it.
There is a part in the film where another filmmaker says he had a call from a Rockefeller in which he was warned of the 9/11 attacks and that they were all part of a scheme to lead the US to invade Iraq, Afghanistan, and deal with Chavez in Venezuela. Not sure why Rockefeller, if involved in this Byzantine plotting, would speak of it over the phone to a filmaker. The anti Bush side has so many resources and are fueled with impressive passion; why do we not see more compelling proof of a 9/11 conspiracy.

As a final note, I will watch it all another day. If there are those of you out there that are conspiracy buffs, have at her. It's got everything from the "myth of christ" and origins of Christianity through to Bush/Cheney Hitler comparisons. Included there are the Lusitania sinking, US provoking Pearl harbour, Vietnam being an intentionally losing but sustaining war to benefit the mega corporations, Kennedy murder, to all the current day conflicts in the war on terror, and microchip control of the population. I was expecting to see a scruffy Gene Hackman meeting a crazy Mel Gibson in an abandoned warehouse somewhere.

Had to throw in a little humour as it is Friday of the Canada Day long weekend, and this is depressing viewing!

a friend tried to turn me onto this, to which he later regretted as i verbally berated him for sending me such trash. i got as far as the religion comparisons, but just a little google searching can reveal that all their main points are very liberal stretches of truth, and some are outright lies. turned it off shortly after that as it was apparent it was just another wingnut conspiracy film with no real evidence to support it

and hey, i hate religion, i'm all for tearing it down and exposing them for the cults and scams that they really are, but at least be truthful with your arguments. there are so many real facts you can point at to show how insane and messed up christianity is that there's no need to make stuff up

While i am more of a conspiracy theorist than the next guy, if you are going to create a conspiracy build it upon known facts, draw in some supposed facts, and make your point with info that no one can prove, either way.

oh yah and don't forget to draw lines that almost touch, but you would be sued senseless if you ever drew a connection with them. let your audience do that for you.

mind you, the flames won the cup in game 6...
