Other then Gino Vanelli, and those dreaded Heebie Jeebies (who is in that band that has pull to get them in the backdoor...remember their gigs at the Dome in 2002/03...ugh), not a bad lineup.

The Stampede's getting better acts slowly in...when the first stages of the expansion are done, I am pretty sure it includes a revamped Coca Cola stage, meaning likely bigger and bigger acts.

Corb Lund is one that should not be missed, even if you don't like country music. One of my faves.

Are they the annoying quartet people who were at the Flames rally?

If so, I hate them all on a personal level.

Not really my cup of tea, but hey, it's the Stampede.

Now, is Hedley the band with the frontman who's an ex-Canadian idol? Or is that someone else?

I love Matt Mays and El Torpedo, if I am in town I am checking them out for sure. What a wicked band. Their CD is so awesome.

Agreed. That'll definitely be one of the better shows I think...

That's the guy! Jacob Hoggard. I think he was 3rd on Idol. I thought he was such a weirdo when I saw him on Idol, but I think he only did those things for shock appeal. Hedley's music isn't all that weird at all.

Well, I'm definitely more interested in the acts at Nashville North, but who can say no to Gino Vannelli?

Sam Roberts is pretty good, his new album has some great tunes. Check out Mind Flood , I love it.

Couldn't agree more, the guy is talented just listen to one of the lines in his song Hurtin Albertin "Farmers Facing off with Gofers man it anit the same as being home at the Saddledome for the Oilers at the Flames"

Yep, I'll be checking out Sam Roberts for the second time @ Stampede. Anybody know the NN line-up?

Sam Roberts would be good to see...the rest of the lineup though, not too interested.

Here's the Nashville North lineup:

http://cs.calgarystampede.com/events...lle_north.html

No real big names, certainly no big US acts like last year when Chely Wright and Sugarland performed. The Queen tribute looks interesting.
